Insomnia and This Amino Acid.
Intro
Aside from chronic pain and limited mobility, perhaps there is no greater factor that impacts our productivity levels, energy levels and overall happiness throughout the day than a lack of sleep.
Whether it is inconsistent sleep patterns resulting in frequent awakenings, or full-blown insomnia which does not allow the mind to ‘let go’, poor sleep impacts an estimated one-third of Americans, greatly impacting both our physical and mental health.
For those of us who struggle with sleeplessness on a nightly basis, we also know first-hand how it can dramatically increase our stress and anxiety levels, causing us to become more agitated and angry with every passing day.
A quote by writer D.Sutten states,
‘More anger stems from a lack of sleep than from all of life’s frustration.’
After all, a lack of sleep is hard on our system and a clear indication that we are out of balance. It has enormous effects on our health and our body’s ability to heal from disease and infection, and puts us at greater risk for a more serious illness down the road.
This is why there is one very special amino acid that is included in our all-natural sleep aid:
L-Theanine.
Described by clinical nutritionist and doctor of natural medicine, Dr Josh Axe, as both ‘calming and centering’, L-Theanine has been shown to naturally increase GABA, dopamine and serotonin levels without the drowsy side-effects that may come with pharmaceuticals.
L-Theanine has also been shown to reduce anxiety and increase overall relaxation due to its natural sedative effect.
A double win.
In an abstract published by the National Library of Medicine titled, In Search of a Safe Natural Sleep Aid, it was concluded that L-Theanine has, ‘anxiolytic effects via the induction of α brain waves without additive and other side effects associated with conventional sleep inducers. Anxiolysis is required for the initiation of high-quality sleep.’
L-Theanine After Illness or Injury
The term ‘restoration’ is defined as a return to an original state afterdepletion, damage or loss. And there is no doubt that many of us are in great need of restoration—both mentally and emotionally.
After all, many of us hit our extremes at one point or another these past five years due to the stress and unpredictability of the times. This included from man-caused devastation that we experienced first-hand or witnessed all around.
Yet these times have also challenged many of us physically. Not only as a result of high stress levels, but as a result of decisions we have made that have negatively—and even catastrophically—impacted our health.
Decisions involving the covid ‘vaccine’ (otherwise known as the ‘clot shot’), which for thousands, if not millions of individuals across the USA, has resulted in chronic illness, bodily damage and injury as evidenced by widespread cases of myocarditis, turbo cancer, heart attacks and stroke.
Decisions which have brought ENORMOUS REGRET—and even hopelessness and despair.
Yet hope is not lost.
The body can restore itself.
But in order for renewal and restoration to take place, there must be deep and sustained sleep on a nightly basis. After all, the vast majority of healing takes place during our sleeping hours.
Dr William Dement, founder of the Sleep Research Centre at Stanford University and known as the ‘Father of Sleep Medicine’ until his passing at age 91, perhaps stated it best when he said,
‘You’re not healthy, unless your sleep is healthy.’
Dr Zelenko and Z-Night™
Dr Zelenko understood the importance of sleep when it came to our mental, emotional and physical health. This is why he developed an all-natural sleep formulation for these trying times to serve as a nighttime compliment to his daytime line of Z-nutraceuticals.
A formulation which now contains 150 milligrams of L-Theanine in every serving, which as outlined above, helps to regulate sleep patterns, relax the body and mind, reduce anxiety, and combat stress.
Yet, the benefits don’t stop there.
For those who have experienced cardiovascular damage or are at an increased risk of blood clots, L-Theanine also helps to regulate nitric oxide within the body. A molecule which has been shown to relax narrowed blood vessels, thereby increasing oxygen and blood flow. This in turn may help to restore damaged cells and potentially reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.
In combination with L-Theanine, Z-Night™ also contains a premium combination of essential minerals and herbs including magnesium glycinate, magnesium citrate, GABA, apigenin (chamomile), hops, passion flower, L-5 HTP, banaba leaf extract and lemon balm for deep sleep and renewal on all levels.
